I wish I could…

Ben, Autocritique, 1974

This Dh of DH 2014 didn’t really worked as I expected. My 3 year’s old toddler got sick and required me to stay all day long next to him.  I had looked forward to posting a lot of interesting things on my French literature lessons linking them with all kind of materials found on the web. Unfortnately my little boy called me again and again. He was really down with a lot of fever, his stomach aching like hell… asking for warm cuddles was natural and so sweet. My heart of mum  was pleased to hold him tight, trying to keep him warm and calm… but my head was thinking about all the things I could have written during this “weird” day of DH.

I guess that’s the way all working women tend to feel: divided by the need of being a good mum (let’s face it I love my kids and I can’t help seeing them suffer… I would do anything to see them play and laugh around me) and the necessity to take part in the working creative process…

It’s the same old song about “I wish I could…”

Dayofdh 14 … Here I come…

imageSo here I come… As each year. It has been three years now that I ‘ve been participating to Dayofdh. So glad to be part of the bunch.

This year for the first time, I’ll try to post exclusively from my Ipad. As Dh are always more complex they also tend to be more userfriendly and usable as well as dedicated to smartphones and tablets in general.  So why not take part to dayofdh from a portable device?

This could be the time to bring dh “en plein air” as the revolutionary impressionists did, bringing techniques and skills outside the painting labs. I’ll try… After all this is only a pretext…
