The Digital Humanities is an environment that encourages scholars to develop and apply digital tools to new and old questions.

As a PhD Candidate at the University of Newcastle in English and Writing, Naomi is primarily concerned with the application of digital tools to literary studies. Her primary research interest is in genre theory and the stylistics of genre and form. Her current project is exploring the stylistic evolution of science fiction through computational stylistics. This project includes the combination of conventional and digital methods of analysis in literary studies.
Naomi is also interested in the education and outreach of DH to Faculty Staff and Undergrad Students to assist other scholars in accessing and implementing various DH tools and methods that are available.
