|How do you Define DH?||
The Digital Humanities intersect humanities disciplines with computing technologies. To me, DH is collaborative and interdisciplinary. DH is creative, thoughtful, and explorative. It has welcomed (and helped to grow) my interest and expertise in information design and visualization.
Mount Royal University and University of Alberta
I am a designer, a teacher, and a researcher. For over a decade, I have collaborated on major interdisciplinary research projects in information design and visualization for large text collections. Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of Alberta working on experimental decision support interfaces for manufacturing. I am also an Associate Professor in Information Design at Mount Royal University. I have a passion for creating safe, inclusive, and compelling spaces – both digital and analog. I am a dedicated mentor and community builder at my core.
