How do you Define DH?

Research in DH uses digital technologies to extend academic study and teaching of the humanities disciplines.

Performant Software Solutions LLC

I am a project manager at Performant Software Solutions LLC, an agile web and mobile development company with a specialization in software for the digital humanities.

Before joining Performant Software, I earned a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Virginia and managed or contributed to online projects at the University of Virginia Morris Law Library, NINES, the Poetess Archive, and the Electronic Text Center.

In my role at Performant Software, I have collaborated with humanities scholars and project staff on projects including Juxta Commons, the Early Modern OCR Project (eMOP), NINES, 18thConnect, MESA, Collex, TypeWright, TextLab (a project of the Melville Electronic Library), the Siege of Jerusalem Electronic Archive (forthcoming), BRANCH, Viral Texts, and the new NAVSA website (forthcoming).

When away from the office, I enjoy canoeing and kayaking on the rivers of central Virginia, and I will travel to hear great performances of baroque opera.
